Somerled is an elegant, welcoming family-owned cellar door located on Hahndorf's Main Street. We'll show you through a guided 'Once around the Track' tasting of our five super premium wines. Winemaker Rob, whose history includes 30 years in senior winemaking roles with Penfolds and Wynn's, is often in residence at the Cellar Door to talk you through the range and personally par for you. Rob's wife Heather and daughter Lucy are also two constants behind the counter at the Cellar Door. Ask for Heather's roasted almonds - or sit under the vines and enjoy Heather's Spanish Platter with a glass of wine. Somerled is the name of the bay gelding that was ridden to victory at the local Oakbank Picnic Races in 1908, by Rob's grandfather Stephen Bowd.
